We are proud to announce the arrival of our latest survey technology: 3D Laser Scanning.
3D Laser Scanning is an exciting recent innovation in the field of surveying and is used to model the shapes of buildings, landscapes or objects in 3D. The scanning process creates a dense model of 3D points known as a “pointcloud.” The scanner is able to measure complex shapes and highly detailed objects very quickly, allowing for surveys to be carried out in environments where traditional surveying would be impractical or the level or detail required is very high.
Laser scanning is suitable for a variety of applications,
including:
- Architectural Modelling
Heritage Buildings, Facade Mapping, Detailed Floor Plans, BIM / 3D Revit Modelling, Topographic Surveys. - As-Built Surveys
Plant room and equipment modelling, Pipe Installations, As-Built Engineering Structures, Structural Steel As-Built’s - Reverse Engineering
Pointcloud to 2D or 3D CAD, Sketch-up or BIM.
