The Task
An under-performing large retail store was nominated for closure and Kmart were taking over the store. An Existing Conditions Survey and drawings were urgently required to enable the fit out and store reopening to be completed in time for the pre Christmas sale period. The only problem was, that it was already August.
The Approach
If working to a normal construction time frame, the Existing Conditions Surveys would have been needed a full month earlier to meet the Christmas deadline. However, when a top tier client asks for a survey team to be onsite to start a major job as soon as possible, we don’t let them down.
The Outcome
We put the Realserve team and the 3D Scanner into overdrive, undertaking the Existing Conditions Survey to produce an Existing Conditions Floor Plan, Sections, Elevations, and a Reflected Ceiling and Services Plan. This survey also included the additional service of 3D scanning in the roof space to make sure the services engineers didn’t have any nasty surprises when it came to designing the mechanical systems for the store. In the end, we’re proud to say that we did our part to ensure the store was ready for Christmas.
