What is a Reflected Ceiling Plan?
A Reflected Ceiling Plan (or RCP) is a survey drawing that shows objects located in or on the ceiling.
What will a Realserve Reflected Ceiling Plan show?
A Reflected Ceiling Plan outlines any items located in or on the ceiling of a room or space. This includes:
- Decorative features,
- Air vents,
- Air conditioning,
- Exit signs and other evacuation fixtures,
- Sprinkler systems and other fire safety fittings (such as alarms),
- And more.
Different symbols are used to explain each detail, and the symbols are explained in a legend which is included in the Reflected Ceiling Plan. Take a look at the RCP Sample Plans at the bottom of this page to see how a Reflected Ceiling Plan shows all of these details.
Why do I need an RCP?
Being able to visualise all the objects displayed on a Reflected Ceiling Plan enables you to easily understand a structure in more detail, which allows you to efficiently complete your project.
A Reflected Ceiling Plan can be used alongside other survey plans to accurately understand a space. Our accurate surveys and Reflected Ceiling Plans can assist you anywhere in New Zealand by allowing you to start with confidence, by providing you with a reference that you can use in your current project and in the future.
