How does 3D laser scanning work?
The 3D laser scanning process captures a multitude of co-ordinates within mere seconds to create a detailed model of dense 3D points known as a “point cloud.” Click here to view some of our past 3D scanning projects.
Below is an example of what point cloud data looks like.
A 3D Laser Scanner uses the latest state-of-the-art technology to capture as-built data from sites, including highways, plants, and structures, which can ultimately be turned into a 3D virtual model of the specific object. Point cloud data can be used to create accurate as-built drawings through standard CAD based software.

Why do I need 3D laser scanning?
Our 3D laser scanners are able to interpolate & measure highly detailed objects and complex shapes, allowing for surveys to be carried out in locations where traditional surveying would be impractical. With 3D scanning, the external of large buildings can be measured with millimetre accuracy.
